Computer Resources (CCR) Licenses Fax to E-mail Technology to Symantec
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, April 26 /PRNewswire --
Circle
Computer Resources
(CCR) today announced that Symantec Corp. has licensed the company's printer
driver to e-mail technology for inclusion in WinFax PRO, the leading software
product for sending, receiving and managing faxes. This new technology
allows users to e-mail documents rather than using a FAX modem or printing
out a hard copy and using a traditional FAX machine. Terms of the license
agreement are undisclosed.
"The technology allows Symantec to provide its customers with the
most effective method for 'faxing' via e-mail." said Michael P. Kelly,
president of CCR. "We are pleased that Symantec has chosen to include
CCR's technology in WinFax PRO."
Faxing via email is a fast and easy means to send important documents
--all the recipient needs is an email address and a free WinFax viewer.
Common uses of this technology already include real estate information,
legal documents, financial documents, invoices and medical receipts.
WinFax PRO provides comprehensive fax capabilities to Windows 95/98/NT/2000
PCs, giving small businesses, home offices and mobile workers the most
advanced, easy-to-use professional fax software for communicating with
clients, partners and associates.
